Hyouzangama is a family pottery whose artisanal legacy goes back in history for at least 7 centuries.
Their artistry became recognised when the family's fourth-generation master presented pottery to Oda Nobunaga, one of the leading figures of the Sengoku and Azuchi-Momoyama periods. Today the studio's ceramic products are made by the family's matriarch, her two sons and one of their partners.
Together they continue to create vessels that blend seamlessly into daily life and are easy to use.
