Profile

The beautiful colours of cherry blossom pink, purple and blue are the result of Sugiyama's sincere dedication to glazing and his willingness to constantly evolve.

Sugiyama’s works are characterised by their delicate expression, beautiful glaze drips, and varying glaze lustres. Even when using the same glaze, result varies depending on the flow of the glaze, the intensity of the fire, and chance conditions.

The soft colours and the beautiful gradients created by the overlapping hues are delicate and truly beautiful. Enjoy different facets of the Keshiki, surface expressions that change with the play of light. The simple shapes are another appealing feature; they are versatile and easy to use, making them a valuable addition to any kitchen.
