Here each student learns to master one stage in the \u003cem\u003eNerikomi\u003c\/em\u003e process. Together their craftsmanship exceeds that of many \u003cem\u003eNerikomi\u003c\/em\u003e pieces rushed onto the commercial market.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eNerikomi\u003c\/em\u003e patterns require much forethought before being handbuilt. Each block of colour here is a puzzle piece, the pattern is the same inside and out. Stained clays are inter-layered into blocks before being sliced to reveal the cross-section, a meticulous pattern.
